要旨本文	Indonesia’s tropical forests are highly biodiverse and cover approximately 125.7 million hectares. However, forest degradation has contributed to increased carbon emissions. To address these challenges, Indonesia has committed to climate change mitigation through its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). The Second Indonesia NDC targets emission reductions of up to 1.4 Gt CO2e under the high-emission scenario (LCCP-H) by 2030. The Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) sector is central to achieving this target, contributing approximately 60% of the total planned emission reductions. Mitigation actions include the restoration of 2 million hectares of peatlands and the rehabilitation of 8.3 million hectares of degraded land by 2030. Moreover, forest rehabilitation in monsoon forests and enrichment planting in secondary tropical rainforests are projected to increase ecosystem carbon stocks by 205 t C/ha and 139.52 t C/ha, respectively, within 20 years after planting.
