要旨本文	The study examines the application of agroforestry for sustainable forest resources management and to improve local livelihood in Gunung Kidul, Indonesia. Based on our observations, forest farmers already have steady and strong group management, as supported in literatures. However, food insecurity, poverty and extreme drought remain critical challenges, particularly for agroforestry advancement. Thus, aim for optimal agroforestry system. The study detected that existed framework failed to address poverty alleviation, remaining subsistence-oriented. Prior survey also indicated that community demand crop purchase price stability and technical support could be significant policy intervention. Moreover, considering risks associate with rapid forest land conversion, we design study to examine type of support and livelihood improvement through introduction of forest tree species which economically and ecologically higher to climate resilience using choice experiment.
