| 要旨本文 | Monitoring spring leaf phenology at the individual-tree scale is essential for understanding ecosystem responses to climate change. Ground observations provide high accuracy but are constrained by time and labor, while unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) offer high spatial resolution but are impractical for frequent monitoring. PlanetScope satellites (3 m resolution) provide a promising alternative. We developed and evaluated a species-specific, rule-based framework to extract leaf emergence dates using multi-year PlanetScope (2021_2025) and single-year UAV (2025) imagery collected for 50 trees. Optimal VIs and normalized thresholds varied among 32 species, reflecting species-specific interactions between canopy structure and leaf optical properties. Compared with a conventional fixed-threshold approach, the framework improved accuracy (lower RMSE; days) and precision (higher r) for PlanetScope imagery, demonstrating its potential for scalable individual-tree phenology monitoring. |
