| 要旨本文 | Somatic embryogenesis (SE) plays a critical role in the mass propagation and bioengineering of Cryptomeria japonica (sugi). We observed substantial variation in SE potential among different cell lines, and even within the same cell line, SE potential often declines after repeated subculturing. These limitations hinder large-scale propagation of elite sugi genotypes and constrain genetic engineering applications. However, the genetic mechanisms underlying the regulation of SE potential remain largely unknown. In this study, we surveyed gene expression profiles of multiple cell lines at different developmental stages using transcriptome sequencing. Our results revealed dynamic changes in gene expression across developmental stages, as well as stage-specific signature expression patterns. This analysis provides transcriptomic evidence for elucidating the genetic mechanisms governing SE and offers insights that may facilitate improvements in tissue culture systems for sugi bioengineering. |
