| 要旨本文 | Long-term growth dynamics of Cryptomeria japonica D.Don remain poorly understood beyond mid-rotation ages, particularly for triploid-genotypes. We analyzed diameter growth of clonally propagated plus-trees at age 65, to quantify clonal variation and compare growth patterns between diploid and triploid clones. Diameter at breast height (DBH) from 554 trees representing eight clones were analyzed using a generalized linear mixed model. Increment cores from trees with DBH >25 cm was used to reconstruct growth curves with the Chapman-Richards model. Significant clonal variation in DBH was detected at 65 years, with repeatability of 0.20. Asymptotic size showed strong clonal control, whereas growth rate and curve shape varied more among clones. Diploids exhibited slower early growth and monotonic trajectories, while the triploids showed delayed early growth followed by sustained late-rotation growth after age 30. |
