| 要旨本文 |
Reduced Impact Logging (RIL) is a set of forest harvesting methods designed to minimize the environmental, economic, and social effects of timber extraction while supporting sustainable forest management. This study examines the implementation of RIL practices in plantation forests, with a focus on environmental performance, operational efficiency, and worker safety. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, and analysis of operational records from selected forest concessions. Results show that RIL significantly decreases soil disturbance, residual stand damage, and fuel consumption compared to traditional logging techniques. However, limited training, weak enforcement, and a lack of incentives restrict broader adoption. Strengthening company support and integrating RIL into standard forest operation policies are essential steps for improving the sustainability of plantation forest management. |
