| 要旨本文 | Orthophotos play a vital role in landscape interpretation, however, achieving high positional accuracy with old aerial photographs remains challenging. This study, therefore, examines the orthophoto accuracies of Ibaraki Prefecture using old aerial photographs with multiple image scanning devices. The results revealed that orthophotos generated from surveying scanner, high-resolution digital camera, and low- and high-resolution general-purpose scanner with geometric correction provided the most reliable spatial precision, achieving RMSEXY values of 2.34 m, 2.00 m, 1.99 m, and 2.08 m, respectively. In contrast, general-purpose scanner with no geometric correction provided higher horizontal errors ranging from 13.62 m to 14.06 m. Vertical RMSEZ values varied between 3.29 m and 4.99 m across all datasets. Overall, the findings highlight the applicability of low-cost image scanning devices for orthophoto generation. |
