Genome Wide Association Study for growth traits using teak progeny trial at Ngawi, Indonesia

要旨本文 Tectona grandis L.f. (Teak) is a prominent commercial timber in the world. Teak is highly valuable due to its unique colouring , strength and wood natural resistance. However, teak were threaten due to both deforestation and climate shift that can curtail teak productivity. Therefore, Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) is needed to formulate resilient teak plantation by searching growth trait-related genetic marker. Material used in this study is 23 years old, half-sib progeny teak trial in Ngawi, Indonesia. It comprises of 794 individuals from 146 families planted using Randomized Complete Block Design, replicated 10 times. We observed tree diameter, height, crown dimension, and leaf physiological properties. We aim to identify SNPs associated with the traits of interest using ‘mrMLM’ function of mrMLM package version 5.01 with FASTmrEMMA in R.
